Wine enthusiasts with some knowledge, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing so they say! With a background in sourcing fine foods and a career in all things food and agriculture, coupled with some help from WSET - here at Sterling Libations we have a number of core principles that guide us in sourcing exceptional wines from around the world.

 

Family based wine growers and wine makers:  We understand and appreciate the hard work required to grow and harvest grapes and then to turn that into consistently well made wines is a step further.  When these family farms further commit to working under sustainable protocols, restricting their use of chemical applications and employing labour intensive techniques to manage the soil and environment that they farm, we find this care and attention is further expressed in the wines they produce. Regenerative agriculture is often defined as a conservation and rehabilitation approach to food and farming systems. It focuses on topsoil regeneration, increasing biodiversity improving the water cycle enhancing ecosystem services, supporting biosequestration, increasing resilience to climate change, and strengthening the health and vitality of farm soil.  Our suppliers all adhere to many of these farming principals and are often Organic and/or Biodynamic certified.  We get to know their practices and closely follow them on the annual journey to create some delicious wines.  We hope you enjoy the end result and encourage you get in touch and ask any questions you may have.
